Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Returns to Lincoln Center

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns to the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center Wednesday, June 11 through Sunday, June 22.  The company will offer four programs over 15 performances. New works will include a yet untitled world premiere from Robert Moses, and three company premieres; Asadata Dafora’s groundbreaking 1932 solo, Awassa Astrige/Ostrich, and new productions of Hans van Manen’s Polish Pieces and David Parsons’ signature work Caught.

In addition company classics and works present in the of 2013-14 New York City Center season will also be presented. Wayne McGregor’s Chroma, Grace by Ronald K. Brown, Ohad Naharin’s Minus 16, an Ailey/Ellington program, and Ailey masterwork Revelations among among the works completing the roster. On Saturday, June 21, at 2:00 pm there is family matinee, followed by a free Q&A with the dancers.

Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased at the David H. Koch Box Office, by phone at 212-496-0600, or online at alvinailey.org. Student tickets may be available on the day of the performance for $15 at the box office with a valid student ID (one per student – subject to availability). Program A: Chroma / Robert Moses Premiere / Revelations (June 12 and 14 evening, 18 and 22 matinee)

Program B: Grace / Awassa Astrige/Ostrich / D-Man in the Waters (Part I) / Minus 16 (June 13, 15 and 21 evening)

Program C: (Ailey/Ellington): Night Creature / Pas de Duke / The River / Revelations (June 14, 15 and 20 evening)

Program D: LIFT / Caught / Polish Pieces / Revelations (June 17 and 21 matinee, 19 and 22 evening)
