Nathaniel Cornelius “Nate” Robinson is a 5’9″ point guard that is the NBA’s first three-time slam dunk champion. Robinson was the 21st pick (New York Knicks) in the 2005 NBA draft. The has also played for Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers. Known for exuberantly colorful abstractions with street art flair, Martinez has recently taken to painting over large parts of his canvases with white pigment, not as an erasure so much as an exploration of how revisions factor into the process of composition. This show features works in that vein, created over the last year. The exhibit runs through February 17, 2019.

Dance Of The Village EldersDance Of The Village EldersTime: 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm The Dance of The Village Elders will resume weekly fitness classes for Seniors on Thursday January 10th 2pm at St. Phillip's Church (204 west 134th Street). The 90-minutes class Thursday afternoon class incorporates stretching and breathing, calisthenics, aerobics and dance/choreography. The class is “senior specific” designed to encourage and aid each person reach their personal best.
