The North Face just released an exclusive collection for Barneys, taking its mountaineering gear expertise and applying it to garments for the urban explorer. The North Face-wearing Barneys man roams the city and styles his down parkas with the likes of Comme des Garcons, Craig Green, Margiela and ACNE.
While it maybe unusually warm this week, we can’t get too comfortable. If it’s anything like last year, it’ll be snowing through April (and the news is saying it will be worse). So, if you haven’t already stocked up on your cold weather outerwear, we recommend you start looking before a blizzard comes smacking your face.

Goose down fill insulation parkas have removable hoods, some with faux fur. A three-in-one “triclimate” jacket can be worn as a vest, a jacket or layered together. The most standout piece from this collaboration is the lightweight and fully waterproof Shiboro-inspired parka, taking cues from the ancient Japanese fabric dying technique to create a digital snowflake-like print.
