12/30/17 O&A NYC DANCE: Misty Copland and Ailey Company Perform In Tribute To Carmen De Lavallade

Misty Copeland, Robert Fairchild and members of the Ailey Company performed in honor of Carmen de Lavallade during the Kennedy Center Honors. 

Jon Batiste performs Soul Bossa Nova with dancers Stella Abrera and Brandon Victor Dixon, and Sheléa Frazier performs Wade in the Water with dancers Alicia Graf Mack, Linda Celeste Sims and Matthew Rushing.

American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Misty Copeland (On the Town) and Tony nominee Robert Fairchild (An American in Paris). They paid tribute to dancer and choreographer Carmen De Lavallade with a routine to the song “Bill” from the musical Show Boat, sung by three-time Tony nominee Rebecca Luker.
