Jerry Seinfeld created a lot of buzz last Wednesday with the debut episode of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee- Season 7. Instead of the typical jokester, the actor welcomed an elected official to the program, none other than President Barack Obama. Over the past six seasons, a veritable who’s who of the comedic world including Louis C.K., Will Ferrell, Sarah Silverman, Larry David and Chris Rock has joined Jerry Seinfeld for a ride and a cup of joe in the Crackle series.
Following the show’s model of riding around in a vintage car before having a chat over coffee, the episode showed Seinfeld and the commander-in-chief cruising around the White House driveway in a 1963 Corvette Stingray. For the “coffee” segment of the show, the duo retired to a dining room in the basement of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for a tête-à-tête. There, the president opened up about his obsession with nachos, his underwear preference and his experience living in the White House. (Naturally, POTUS also managed to also sneak in a plug for Obamacare.)
