New Combination/V Chris Restaurant Inc. located at 568 Utica Avenue between Rutland Road and Winthrop Street has been serving some of the best Nigerian cuisine in Brooklyn since 2000. This small storefront restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in East Flatbush.
The intimate no frills setting has just five booths and four small tables for two. A flat scene, which usually features international soccer matches is the only entertainment offered. But what the establishment lacks in decor and size it makes up for with the food. Fresh dishes made daily, served in bountiful portions, and all entrees under $20 makes New Combination/V Chris Restaurant Inc. a great destination for lunch and diner/ dining or carry out.
New Combination/V Chris Restaurant Inc. has become one of my regular midweek “stop overs”. This week a friend and I enjoyed Jollof rice, Goat pepper soup and Mixed meat soup; a delicious meal for two. I suggest trying Pounded Yam served with Egusi Soup and mixed meat- and eat it Nigerian style with your fingers!
