Jenelle Figgins is best described as a combination of beauty, brains and talent. The 2014 Princess Grace Awards Winner graduated from SUNY Purchase New York in 2011 after earning a B.F.A. with honors in dance. In her 3rd season with Dance Theatre of Harlem Figgins gets to flex her dramatic muscle in Nacho Duato’s Coming Together.
Figgins is clearly from an arts gene pool. Her sister Dionne was a member of Dance Theatre of Harlem before the nine-year hiatus. Samantha (sister #2) joined the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in 2014. And Selena (sister #3) a visual and graphic designer, who Jenelle describes as, “One of the smartest women I know”.
