Bones The Machine has become one of the most visible members of Flex dance community. Bones style of contortion, illusion, and an urban theatrics has caught the eye of the public, and the notoriety has propelled him and his crew, The Next Level Squad, to worldwide acclaim. Bones and Next Level Squad have introduced their special brand of Flex to international audiences with performances in London, Japan, and Germany and recently starred in an ad campaign with Diesel for Joog Jeans.

Flex N Brooklyn, a cable show on BCAT channel 68, initially introduced Bones to Flex. Over the last 14 years since that introduction Bones’ commitment to progressing his personal prowess and his diligent artistic exploration has helped to move Flex from an underground East Brooklyn phenomenon to garner mainstream fascination. Recently Bones performed in the 40th Anniversary season of the Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center (THPAC) in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York.

The first thing you notice about this young emerging artist is his humility and gratitude. Bones is the embodiment of the belief, “if you follow what you love  success will find you.” O&A NYC Magazine had the opportunity to talk to Bones prior to his June 22 THPAC performance.
