Rennie Harris has achieved two “firsts” during the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s 60th anniversary season. Harris has become the first year-long Ailey Artist-in-Residence and his ballet Lazarus is the first two act ballet commissioned by the company. Every year for the past eight years, GQ has named their picks for the Best New Menswear Designers in America. Previous winners include the likes of Daiki Suzuki’s Engineered Garments, Robert Geller, Billy Reid and Alexander Wang. Back in March, men’s lifestyle magazine GQ announced the best menswear designers in America for 2014. Ghanaian artist Paa Joe has brought some of New York City’s most iconic motifs to life.
