Robert Anderson started The Caravans in 1947. The group reached its peak popularity during the 1950s and 1960s, launching the careers of a number of artists, including: Albertina Walker, Delores Washington, Inez Andrews, Shirley Caesar, Reverend James Cleveland, Dorothy Norwood, Bessie Griffin, Josephine Howard, and Loleatta Holloway.
Richard Smallwood is the Black Brahms of Gospel music. His lush orchestrations and choral arrangements are the hallmarks of his signature sound. An accomplished pianist, composer, arranger, vocalist and choral conductor Smallwood graduated cum laude from Howard University with degrees in both vocal performance and piano, and graduate work in the field of ethnomusicology. He finished his Masters degree in Divinity from Howard University in 2004 and was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2006.

Tamela Mann’s musical career began when she joined up with the multi-grammy award winning and double platinum gospel phenomenon Kirk Franklin and the Family. Mann has also enjoyed collaborating and performing with numerous artists such as Yolanda Adams, Mary J. Blige, Al Green, Celine Dion, Bono, R. Kelly and Fred Hammond.
