Stickz, a Brooklyn native and raising star in the flex and bruk up dance community, decided to deal with the sudden death of a close friend through his art. Stickz created Blue Aura a 13 minute video placing his flex and bruk up style in a more traditional abstract dance narrative format.
This ambitious film is a strong first attempt to move the hip hop dance genre and the concept dance video to the next level. Blue Aura is directed by Kareem Baptise and features new flex dance music by Young Thrilla, both are longtime fixtures of the flex scene.
