The Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center (THPAC) will begin their spring season with PEEKS Works In Progress on Thursday, May 1, 7:30pm at the Actors Fund Arts Center, 160 Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn. The hour-long presentation will showcase works in development by Ranardo-Domeico Grays and William Isaac. Immediately following the performance will be a Q & A with the choreographers lead by a moderator with input welcomed from the audience. The PEEKS series are offered free to the public.
PEEKS provides artists with a low-pressure environment to experiment and receive feedback from a live audience. It also gives THPAC audiences an insightful look- “a peek” into the incubating creative process. The second PEEKS performance will take place on May 14. This program will feature works in progress by Stefanie Batten Bland and Orlando Hunter, and is curated by choreographer, Germaul Barnes. All four artists are being presented for the first time at THPAC.
