It seems like Nike want us to celebrate Valentine’s Day in March. The festive Cupid-referencing Air Jordan 12 Grade School pair will finally be released March 5th.
The new release will be an exclusive for the ladies thanks to the combination of Dynamic Pink-mudguard a pristine tumbled white based leather while a Dynamic Pink-mudguard does most of the heavy lifting on this pair.
The usual heart-basketball logo found on past Valentine’s Day releases is absent with this pair unfortunately, but the vibrant pink shade definitely makes up for it. So my female sneaker heads be extra nice today… this is a great post V-Day gift.
Gucci-Ghost, otherwise known as Trouble Andrew, is a NYC-based graffiti artist that made his name by spray painting his stylized take on Gucci’s double G logo pattern on walls and dumpsters around his neighborhood.
But rather than suing his irreverent ass into financial oblivion, the Italian fashion house enlisted him as a collaborator for its FW16 collection.
Ghost’s tags appeared on Gucci carrier bags and on pieces throughout the new seasonal range. Another example of urban art effecting the mainstream fashion industry.
Supreme recently launched its SS16 campaign in stores and online, and just one week after the online launch, fans are treated with the customary seasonal Vans collaboration – and this one might be the cleanest one in recent memory.
Opting for the Vans Era this time around, Supreme chooses four tonal options with white contrast stitching on the upper and the signature Motionlogo wrapping the sole of the shoes. The Supreme and Vans Era Motion Logo Pack releases on Thursday, March 3rd at Supreme chapter stores in NY, Los Angeles, and London as well as on the website supremenewyork.com. A Tokyo in-store release is scheduled for Saturday, March 5th.

Lighten is a relative term for Rick Owens. After years of skirting his love of the late Steven Parrino’s art, he surrendered to his influence here, duplicating Parrino’s crumpled, slashed canvases with a finale of his own sculpted volumes. Continue reading
There’s only so much you can fit into your pant pockets before it becomes unsightly: keys, wallets, smart phones, and that’s just for starters. Luckily, Acne Studios helps save the day with its first full range of bags. The assortment is comprised of three styles, all of which are made in Italy.
The first silhouette is being called the “Buckle Jean” style, and mimics the shape of a champagne bag while still alluding to denim. Stitching and a belt buckles were also added to heighten the concept.
Second is the “Hero Jean” style, a roomier take on the “Buckle” bag that features a large, rectangular shopper silhouette.
Lastly, the “Rope” style bags utilize rope stitching to reduce volume by creating a cinched appearance.
The motif is carried across a jungle backpack, messenger bag, and hip bag. Acne Studios will release additional canvas and leather bags in mid-January.Prices range from $350-$1750.
Converse is making big news in the Big Apple with the reopening of their new flagship store in SoHo. This new renovated Converse store will serve as the largest Converse store in the world and will include over 10,000 square feet of selling space. There will be two floors full of Converse products highlighted by the Converse Blank Canvas customization experience that allows consumers to customize footwear, apparel and accessories.
Some of the customization options include screen print on clothing as well as messing around with certain parts of a shoe like adding grommets, switching laces, adjusting colors, adding patches, and other things to create their own 1-of-1 sneaker.
Supremeclothing and skate shop launched the first wave of the much-anticipated Spring/Summer collection at its New York City store on Thursday, February 18. And as with every new Supreme Thursday release hundreds of eager customers lined up early to purchase the limited number of Supreme clothing being sold.
Due to the imbalanced supply and demand ratio Supreme has become a sort after urban-wear brand, it has also develop a lucrative re-sale market. This has made the Thursday Supreme clothing releases and big sneaker campouts the ideal environment for unlawful and predatory activity. In the past violence and unsafe conditions due to overcrowding and inadequate security has led to the shut down of scheduled releases.
On Thursday a 21-year-old young man was slashed in the face as he left the store with his purchase, and witnesses say that the attacker accused the victim of cutting the line earlier. The victim had waited in line since the previous night and did not cut the line; it seems that the security company hired by Supreme was allegedly lacking. Although Supreme is not a sneaker retailer it has develop a strong following among sneaker culture aficionados.
The re-sale value of the garments and sneakers have been known to double, triple and sometime quadruple the price, which has led to low-lifes preying of patrons and ruining the spirit of the urban wear mystic. The retailers and manufactures have to share part of the responsibility for the mayhem- it is their marketing and deliberate short stocking to create hype , which has contributed to the present chaotic situation.
Police have identified a person of interest. The coward was spotted on subway surveillance camera fleeing the scene shortly after the attack. Because of the camaraderie and fierce loyalty among the urban/street wear community lets hope the police find this guy first.
New York Giant Wide Receiver Victor Cruz’s signature sneaker gets a Black Cement treatment inspired by the Air Jordan 3. In the past, Cruz has mentioned the Air Jordan 3 as one of his favorite sneaker, which explains the similar colorway on the next release.
Although Safari dresses these up nicely instead of cement print, you can still see the obvious nod on the uppers. Tumbled leathers and smooth collars finish these off nicely, alongside the Nike Air tongue.
The sneaker will be coming to a retailer near you soon.
Clarks Original teamed up with London select shop Goodhood to render two exclusive (and quite comfy looking) Wallabees. Sometimes the most simple of concepts make for the best collaborations: Goodhood used a white paint brush stroke motif to create a subtle but new rendition of the American classic. If you’ve never worn a pair of Wallabees, well, we’d be surprised.
Two styles will be available: a mid-top in caramel brown lined in sheep hide along with an original Wallabee in the circular paint stoke pattern. Seeing that New York’s winter is finally rolling, we’re opting for the cozy lined pair.
