Happy Birthday Nike Air Max! The now iconic sneaker originally released on March 26, 1987- that makes the Air Max 29 years old. Nike will celebrate the retail milestone on Saturday, March 26 with Air Max Day by releasing a new documentary aptly titled Masters of Air on the last day of Air Max Con. The online documentary takes a look at nine sneakerheads with a passion for the Air Max models.

Air Max Con is a three-day event highlighting the history of the Nike Air Max shoe. On Saturday the results of an on-line ballot for the will announce the shoe the public chosen to re-issue. Presently the sneaker receiving the most on-line approval is the ATMOS Elephant Nike Air Max One. Air Max Con is located Skylight Clarkson Square 550 Washington Street. 3/23/16 O&A NYC DANCE: Donald McKayle and Rainbow Round My Shoulder honored at Paul Taylor’s American Modern Dance Performance

On Tuesday March 22 the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company performed Donald McKayle’s 1959 modern dance classic Rainbow Round My Shoulder during Paul Taylor’s American Modern Dance New York City season. The presentation is part of the Taylor Company’s initiative to present new works by emerging choreographers and modern dance masters. This is the second season of the initiative; season one featured an impressive performance of Doris Humphrey’s Passacaglia and Fugue by the Jose Limon Dance Company.

Following the performance a reception honoring McKayle was held at the Koch Theater, Lincoln Center. McKayle (84) was greeted by well wishers, and a surprising number of dancers who had performed the work over the past 56 years including former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performers Donna Wood, Elizabeth Roxas, Ailey 2 Artistic Director Emerita Sylvia Waters and Tony Award Winner George Faison. You have two more opportunities to see Rainbow Round My Shoulder on Thursday, March 24 and Saturday March 26. DON’T MISS IT! Mercedes-Maybach S600, fitted with the same 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-12 that powers the regular Mercedes-Benz S600. The most obvious thing the Maybach delivers is space. The length and wheelbase have increased by 7.9 inches, all of which benefit the rear passengers. Early on Friday morning urban fashionistas started lining up in the pre-dawn hours at 83 Wooster Street in New York’s chic Soho district. This ritual could only mean one thing Kanye West, the new streetwear Guru was releasing something. Life of Pablo, a pop-up shop that coincided with the beginning of spring, sprung up for a three-day Kanye West fashion-fest this weekend March 18th through 20th.

Loyal followers braved the cold and darkness to be the first to own the latest Kanye merchandise featured in his video Life Of Pablo. West, the master of shameless self-promotion, enlisted the first family of media hype the Kardashians to help push his new line. The K-clan has been wearing the distinctive bright blue or maroon t-shirts for weeks leading up to the release.
