Derrick Rose has officially become a New York Knick. In a press conference on Friday at Madison Square Garden the 2011 NBA MVP’s spoke to press following the Wednesday trade from the Chicago Bulls. Pharrell Williams, BMX pro Nigel Sylvester and hip-hop artist Joey Bada$$ have teamed up on Wednesday June 1 for an epic bike tour through the streets of New York City. The event coincided with the G-Star RAW grand opening on Fifth Avenue. The mogul, cyclist and rapper accompanied by a BMX posse made their way from Brooklyn through Soho to the new store cheered on by fans who lined the streets. As the night unfurled, the group celebrated the opening with a much-needed cocktail hour, to usher in a new era of denim provided by the experts at G-Star RAW.

The Neymar de Silva Santos Jr. and Michael Jordan Nike collaboration bridges the gap between the basketball living legend and soccer’s legend in the making. Terminal 23 in New York City held a special event where Nike design director Nathan Van Hook discusses the partnership with Santos Jr. and Jordan; he notes Santos’ affiinity for the Air Jordan V, the similarities between the shoe and the Hypervenom II, and much more. The Jordan and Santos Collection is available now through the Nike Football App. Nike will release the entire collection tomorrow.

Surya Bonaly, French-American former figure skater is a three-time World silver medalist, a five-time European champion, the 1991 World Junior Champion and a nine-time French national champion. Bonaly began skating in Nice before relocating to Paris. Early reports said that Gailhaguet discovered Bonaly when she was a 10-year-old skater at a public session, but years later, she said she had wanted to skate in Gailhaguet’s competitive skating group and actually asked to participate.
