He knew my association with the Romare Bearden Foundation, and that Romare’s archives were housed at Columbia University.  He needed information about the process so he could do the same with his own legacy. “Hold on Sir”, I put him on hold and called Deidre Kelly the co-director of the Romare Bearden Foundation. Nike NYC partners with dancer Leiomy Maldonado to create a New York themed “Be True” campaign.

Taking on dancing, nightlife and the art of Voguing, a style of dancing that originated in New York city. Maldonado aka Wonder Woman was the first trans-woman to appear on MTV’s “America’s Best Dance” crew in 2009.
