Rennie Harris has achieved two “firsts” during the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s 60th anniversary season. Harris has become the first year-long Ailey Artist-in-Residence and his ballet Lazarus is the first two act ballet commissioned by the company. His latest single Lazarus, which released on January – his 69th Birthday from the album Blackstar has already received critical acclaim. Bowie chose to make Backstar his final artistic statement.
